Nepal association of ski and snow boarding (NFSS) is a youth centric effort for promotion and development of snow sports in Nepal. Nepal, being a Himalayan country has 8 out of the 10 highest peaks in World. In spite of this abundance, we are not able to maximize our resources and topographical blessings. In addition, Nepal and in particular Dolakha district and Langtang valley suffered two devastating earthquakes in May and April 2015 with the magnitudes of 7,81/8,12 on the Richter scale, that destroyed lots of existing infrastructure and let to an inconceivable death toll3. It was the heaviest series of earthquakes in the Himalayans since 1934, which caused a similar kind of destruction and led to a comparable number of victims4. The political situation contributed to a destabilization of the NASAS, being a youth-participative program is created to fulfill the loophole that is present in our society of not having any form of snow sport in practice in our country. The organization is collective effort by youth to develop adventure sport as major part of tourism attraction in Tourism-focused country like Nepal also creating employment and involvement opportunities for enthusiast.
